Step 5: Use the HOSE ATTACHMENT on your vacuum, and a new bag. If you have access to a shop vac, USE IT!! Please, we beg of you, do not rely on the suction power of your upright vacuum. Step 6: Aggressively and Completely vacuum out all of the powder!! This is so critical, because the powder is now holding all of the urine and odors. So, you must make sure you can vacuum out all of the powder!! You've got to vacuum deep and aggressively into the carpet with a hose.
