ENP’s Glucosamine Plus is a potent formula containing Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM for joints, plus special nutrients for the bones and connective tissues. Each 1 oz dose contains 1,500mg of glucosamine when most other formulas only contain 500mg. Most joint formulas address sore joints but neglect the tendons, ligaments, and bones. Without nutrients for these parts, most formulas only address part of the overall problem. That means you might have to keep me at a higher dose of Glucosamine for longer, costing you more in supplements. Glucosamine Plus addresses the connective tissues with Horsetail, Proline, Boron and Grape Seed Extract. Horsetail is an herb that is high in the mineral Silica, which my body uses for building bones, tendons, and ligaments. Proline is an amino acid that promotes healthy cartilage and tendons as I age. Boron is a trace mineral that is used to build bones. It does this through promoting absorption and decreasing the amount of Calcium that is excreted in my urine. Grape Seed Extract is a powerful antioxidant, a substance which offers me some protection against the effects of aging. Grape Seed Extract has a positive effect on my connective tissues during aging. Besides Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM, this formula contains Manganese for joints. The Manganese helps my joints stay more lubricated by promoting the production of synovial fl uid. Most dogs are started on a full dose, as indicated on the label. However, you can probably cut back to a lesser dose as your dog improves.
